We're Lynbrook's council in the Knights of Columbus, the world's largest Catholic fraternal organization. The Knights, often called "the right arm of the Catholic Church," were founded by Rev. Michael J. McGivney in 1882.
St. Mary's Council was Instituted February 13, 1921, and we merged with Maris Stella Council #378, officially on October 31st, 2006. We serve Lynbrook, Malverne, Our Lady of Peace Parish in Lynbrook and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Malverne, and our country under the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 8:00 pm. The hall is also available for parties. May we book yours?
All practicing Catholic men 18 years of age and older are encouraged to join the Knights of Columbus, and Catholic women 18 years of age and older are encouraged to join our Ladies Auxiliary. We also have a Squires division, Msgr. Flanagan Circle, for Catholic boys between the ages of 10 and 17, and a Squirettes Circle for Catholic girls between the ages of 10 and 17.
